I found my way into the jewelry industry after falling in love with a jewelry-making class at Castle High School. I joined Brinker’s Jewelers the day after graduating in 2009, and since then I’ve had incredible opportunities to grow, from learning the art of jewelry fabrication as a bench jeweler to becoming a GIA Graduate Gemologist, visiting a Canadian diamond mine, and helping clients bring their jewelry dreams to life. Outside of work, I love being a mom, gardening, traveling with my husband, riding motorcycles with my dad, long phone calls with my mom, listening to music, and cruising in my 1950s Mercury.

One of my favorite parts of working in jewelry is helping clients give treasured family heirlooms new life through custom designs. I love finding ways to preserve the sentiment of the past while creating something meaningful for the future. Fancy color diamonds will always have a special place in my heart, and I also have a deep appreciation for colored gemstones and the incredible beauty found in nature. Outside of jewelry, my husband and I enjoy skiing and snowboarding, comic cons, and renaissance festivals. At home, we also stay busy with three dogs, two cats, six ducks, and four geese, who bring plenty of personality and happiness to everyday life.

My journey into the jewelry industry began unexpectedly when my husband heard a radio ad for a local jeweler who was hiring and encouraged me to apply. I took a chance, never imagining that one decision would lead to an almost 30-year career in an industry I’ve grown to love. Diamonds have always been a particular passion of mine, especially the rarity and natural beauty behind each one. What I enjoy most, though, is getting to know my clients, helping them find the perfect jewelry or timepiece, and seeing those relationships grow into lasting friendships. Outside of work, I love traveling with my family, baking, and sharing homemade treats with my coworkers.
